On this page you will find out how to submit works for consideration by Ocean Publishing.

Ocean Publishing is a traditional small press. We find talented authors with quality manuscripts and then take on the financial and management responsibility to produce and market their books. Accordingly, we are very selective. Since 2002, we have published six quality books, with twelve more in the works. 

If you believe your manuscript is of the highest quality, has been professionally edited, and deserves publishing, this is what you need to do: 

Phase I

1.      Make sure that your subject and genre fit our objectives. (Perhaps reading one or more of our titles will familiarize you better. They are available at libraries and bookstores, as well as on line.)

2.      Submit a query letter (either email publisher@ocean-publishing.com or US mail). If we desire additional information, we will so advise within two-four weeks, at which time you can submit according to Phase II below. 

Phase II 

When requested by Ocean Publishing, send items below by US mail. 

1.      A brief synopsis of the proposed book.

2.      Table of Contents, if appropriate.

3.      Brief sample of your writing (no more than two chapters).

4.      Personal biography that reflects prior involvement and success in your genre.

5.      Why you believe the book deserves to be published.

6.      How you envision the book being marketed.

7.      How you would assist with marketing your proposed book.

You will receive a reply within three months. If our editors wish to read more, you will be provided specific guidelines for further submission.
